Make the 0% energy loan
the easy yes.

Greylock Power is building the technology that runs the Mass Save HEAT Loan in parallel: soft authorization at the kitchen table, concurrent loan underwriting, and final loan approval within 24 hours of project authorization. We're recruiting Massachusetts lender and contractor partners now.

The Problem

The best loan in the room shouldn't feel like the hardest one to get.

The Mass Save HEAT Loan is one of the strongest residential energy-finance products in the country.

But the path to a funded loan is slow and manual. The homeowner has to complete a Mass Save authorization form, find a participating lender, complete a lending application, and await a decision. Compare that to the contractor's alternative: a high-priced, unsecured home improvement loan, approved in minutes.

Volume flows elsewhere. Loans that should be funded at 0% by Massachusetts banks and credit unions end up on higher-rate platforms instead, and the subsidized loan becomes a slow afterthought rather than the obvious default.

How It Works

Soft authorization at the table. Loan approved within 24 hours of project authorization.

Today, the homeowner waits for Mass Save's project authorization before the bank even starts underwriting. We run those two tracks in parallel, so the loan is ready the moment the project authorization clears.

01

Eligibility check

Contractor enters basic homeowner and project information. We check Mass Save eligibility, qualifying measures, and program fit in seconds.

02

Soft authorization at the table

The contractor initiates the Mass Save project authorization and the loan application together, before leaving the kitchen. No paperwork sent home with the homeowner.

03

Concurrent underwriting

While Mass Save processes the project authorization, the partner lender underwrites the loan in parallel. Two clocks running at once instead of in sequence.

04

Loan approved in 24 hours

The moment Mass Save's project authorization clears, the loan is approved within one business day. Days instead of weeks between authorization and funded loan.

We make your HEAT Loan process the most attractive in Massachusetts, then we go sell it to contractors.

We partner with Massachusetts banks and credit unions to streamline and accelerate the Mass Save HEAT Loan workflow. Then we take that improved process directly to Mass Save contractors, who recommend the lender that's fastest and easiest to work with. The result is substantially more funded loans on your book.

01

We make your process the easiest in the state

We work with you to design a streamlined HEAT Loan workflow: soft authorization at the kitchen table, concurrent underwriting, and final approval within 24 hours of project authorization. You set the credit policy. We make the experience effortless.

02

Then we take it to contractors

Once your process is polished, we put it directly in front of Massachusetts Mass Save contractors. They route loans to you because you're the fastest path to a closed job. You get the volume. We handle the channel.

03

Substantially more funded loans

Contractor recommendations are the highest-quality acquisition channel in residential energy finance. Bigger HEAT Loan book, lower marketing spend, higher application-to-funded conversion.

04

Lower operational cost per loan

Automated eligibility, prefilled forms, and clean application packages reduce manual underwriting touch time. Same credit standards, dramatically less friction.

05

We build and run the tech

No need to staff up engineering or stand up a new origination stack. We integrate with your existing systems and operate the workflow on our infrastructure.

06

Built for community banks and credit unions

Designed for the Massachusetts institutions that have always carried this program, not a national fintech trying to displace you. The CRA and climate-finance reporting narrative writes itself.

About

Built by operators who've moved money for a living.

Greylock Power makes state-subsidized energy financing the easy default for the people doing the work. We partner with Massachusetts lenders to streamline their Mass Save HEAT Loan process, then we take that improved process to contractors so more loans get originated and more upgrades get done.

Clean energy upgrades shouldn't get blocked by paperwork. The subsidy is already there. The lenders are already there. The contractors are already there. What's missing is the technology and the channel work that connect them at the moment of decision.

That's what we're building, in Massachusetts, starting now.
