Make the 0% energy loan
the easy yes.

Greylock Power is building a concierge service for the Mass Save® HEAT Loan. We handle the paperwork, submit the intake form, and match homeowners with a participating lender looking for borrowers like them. Now recruiting lender and contractor partners.

The Problem

The best loan in the room shouldn't feel like the hardest one to get.

The Mass Save HEAT Loan is one of the strongest residential energy-finance products in the country.

But the path to a funded loan is slow and manual. The homeowner has to complete a HEAT Loan intake form, find a participating lender, complete a lending application, and await a decision. Compare that to the contractor's alternative: a high-priced, unsecured home improvement loan, approved in minutes.

Volume flows elsewhere. Loans that should be funded at 0% by Massachusetts banks and credit unions end up on higher-rate platforms instead, and the subsidized loan becomes an afterthought.

How It Works

We handle the paperwork. Lenders and the program make the decisions.

A funded HEAT Loan takes two tracks: the Mass Save project authorization and a participating lender's loan application. Homeowners usually navigate both alone. We prepare the forms, submit them, and keep everyone informed. The program and the lender each make their own decisions.

01

Referral and paperwork

The contractor refers the homeowner with basic project information. We complete the HEAT Loan intake form on the borrower's behalf and gather everything the application will need.

02

Lender matching

We match the homeowner with a participating Massachusetts lender. The homeowner completes the lender's loan application, and we make the contractor's proposal and HEAT Loan authorization information available. The lender underwrites on its own credit criteria.

03

Decisions and updates

The Mass Save program reviews the project authorization and the lender makes the credit decision, each on its own timeline. We keep the homeowner, contractor, and lender informed at every step so nothing stalls on missing paperwork.

HEAT Loans, ready to underwrite.

Contractors recommend Greylock to their customers as the concierge for the HEAT Loan. We guide each homeowner through the program and match them with the partner lender whose credit box fits their credit profile. Borrowers reach you assessed, authorized, and documented, they apply through your standard channel, and every credit decision is yours.

01

Volume from the contractor channel

Heat pump contractors recommend Greylock at the point of sale because we make the HEAT Loan easy for their customers. That referral flow becomes your HEAT Loan volume.

02

Matched to your credit box

You set your credit box parameters and can change them at any time. We match borrowers against those parameters, so the applicants who reach you already fit. You make every credit decision.

03

Documented before they reach you

Each applicant arrives with the energy assessment done, the HEAT Loan authorization in hand, and the contractor's proposal attached. Your team spends its time underwriting instead of chasing paperwork.

04

Less ops work per loan

Small loans only make sense when borrowers show up prepared. We handle the homeowner back-and-forth before and during your application, so files keep moving without your team pushing them.

05

Nothing to integrate

No API work, no changes to your loan origination system, no new software for your team. Borrowers apply through your standard channel and your team works the way it already does.

06

Built for community banks and credit unions

Designed for the Massachusetts institutions that have always carried this program, not a national fintech trying to displace you. A growing HEAT Loan book also strengthens your CRA and climate-finance story.

About

Built by an operator who's moved money for a living.

Clean energy upgrades shouldn't get blocked by paperwork. The subsidy exists, and so do the lenders and the contractors. What's missing is the plumbing that connects them when a homeowner is ready to say yes. That plumbing is Greylock.

Greylock was founded by Will Fogel, who was previously CEO of Sendwave, a consumer fintech moving billions of dollars a year in cross-border payments, and led the Massachusetts launch of Eli Technologies, whose platform handles a double-digit percentage of Mass Save heat pump rebates.

Let's talk.

If you're a Massachusetts lender or Mass Save participating contractor, we'd like to start a conversation. Pre-launch partners help shape the product and get first access to contractor referral volume.
